More Than a Retreat: What We Felt, Learned, and Witnessed at Co-Love
Jun 23, 2025
There are a few moments in life that land in your body like truth. This retreat was one of them.
Hi, MD here- co-founder of Collective-Love, coach trainer, and proud retreat co-host. After years of dreaming, months of planning, and a week of full-hearted presence, creativity, and connection, our first Co-Love Teen Retreat exceeded every hope we held. And don’t just take my word for it—what follows is a glimpse into the real impact this experience had on the teens who attended, the parents who entrusted us with their daughters, the coaches who showed up with their whole selves, and the sponsors who helped make it all possible.
Teen Voices
“Re-treat? More like Dream-treat.”
— Age 14
At Co-Love, the teens came with open hearts—and left transformed.
“The coaches really care about us. They’re trained to make everyone feel seen, heard, and like they belong. They were invested in helping us develop our own goals and work toward them.”
“I am more myself because of this experience—because at Co-Love, for the first time, I could just be me and it was enough. They celebrated me for the value I add to this world.”
“Before Co-Love, it was hard for me to make friends. But I made so many here, and the confidence I gained carried with me—even when I went to another camp later that summer.”
“After the retreat, my friends at home said I seemed more comfortable being me—letting people in and showing my humor. Maybe I did transform!”

Songhealing & Music Magic
We believe music is healing—and we got to live that truth.
“OMG Songhealing! I wasn’t prepared for how incredible and bonding that would be. It was indescribable in words and can only be felt in the music. I’ll never be the same.”
“After the Co-Love retreat, I went home feeling like nothing was holding me back. I was so inspired I wrote and recorded my first song!”
And the all-female band PAACK? Absolute fire.
“They didn’t just perform—they shared their hearts, answered our questions, and inspired us to believe in our dreams. We learned how they collaborate, overcome stage fright, and follow their creative path.”
What Co-Love Coaches Model
Teens notice more than we think. And they saw a team of Co-Love coaches walking our talk.
“The coaches modeled healthy, empowered relationships—with themselves and each other. I realized that’s the kind of friendships I want.”
“They encouraged me to speak up, honor my truth, and remember my joy—and to ignite joy in others.”
“As a coach, I came to serve the teens—but I left with parts of myself reclaimed. This space is healing, not just for them but for us too.”

The Energy of the Retreat Home
Every corner of the retreat was intentional—from the twinkle lights and cozy rugs to the themed nights, welcome gifts, and daily rituals.
“I was amazed by how Miranda Dawn and her Co-Love team transformed the retreat mansion to feel fun, inspiring, and truly inclusive. The space was filled with heart-and-soul intention.”
— Parent of a 16-year-old
“From the second I dropped her off, I could feel the warmth and joy in the house. I just knew she was about to have a wonderfully supportive, life-giving week.”
— Parent of sisters (ages 12 & 15)
What Followed Them Home
The afterglow? Real.
“My teen came home glowing. There was a light in her I hadn’t seen in months. She felt understood—and seen without having to explain herself.”
— Parent of a 15-year-old
“We’ve had more connected conversations since she got home. She’s more confident, more curious… and even helped me set boundaries in a way that inspired me.”
— Parent of a 17-year-old
“Every teen deserves what my daughter experienced at Co-Love. I wish something like this had existed when I was her age. That’s why I donated a scholarship—so another teen could feel safe, seen, and inspired to grow.”

From the Founders
We created Co-Love to be the space we always wished we had growing up:
A place where coaching meets creativity, where joy meets healing, and where community holds it all.
Watching these teens rise into themselves—and watching the coaches rise right alongside them—reminded us that this work isn’t just meaningful.
It’s necessary.
With gratitude and awe,
— Miranda Dawn & Jenni June
