Theme: Shaking Things Up

By Miranda Dawn, Co-Love Founder and your soul’s cheerleader šŸ“£šŸ¤

Overview

This month’s energy is here to disrupt, awaken, and realign.

With two eclipses and the Fall Equinox, September is not easing us gently into change... it’s shaking the very foundations we’ve outgrown. That might sound intense, and for some of us, it will be. But it’s also a powerful invitation to break free of anything we’ve been clinging to that isn’t truly us anymore. I’ve been calling it “soul renovation season” in my coaching sessions, because sometimes the walls have to shake before we realize the door was never locked.

Whether you’re finding your voice, holding space for growth, or coaching and navigating your own evolution, this month brings the kind of discomfort that eventually gives way to clarity, expansion, and transformation.

Simplicity, Soul Work, and Shedding What’s Not Yours

One of the strongest undercurrents this month is simplicity, not in the minimalist, aesthetic sense, but in the spiritual one. The kind of simplicity we see when we stop trying to carry what isn’t ours to carry. When we stop performing, overcompensating, or pretending to be fine when we're unraveling inside.

Here are a few questions I’ve been exploring with clients as we navigate these shifts:

    •    What can I release to make space for what matters most?

    •    What can I reframe, reset, or let go of that feels heavy, complicated, or not mine to hold?

    •    Where am I overthinking, people-pleasing, or holding onto energy that drains me?

When things feel complicated or too heavy, the medicine is simplicity. Start there. This month, give yourself permission to set things down, to pause, to let things be easier and more aligned with who you truly are, not who you’ve felt you were supposed to be.

Collective Coaching

This is not a “clean it up and move on” kind of month, it's a slower settling that feels more like a “sit with what’s surfacing and listen to what it’s trying to teach you” kind of month. When we spend time meeting our irritations with compassion, we can begin to alchemize pain into wisdom. However, this means no longer running from the patterns that keep following you because, this month, they’re ready to be released for good.

Whether you’re navigating

    •    identity shifts

    •    emotional upheaval

    •    a reworking of your purpose

    •    a desire to finally put down what isn’t yours to carry

You are not doing it wrong. You are in the work.  Even if you're finding yourself saying a version of “I thought I’d moved past this, but now it’s back in a new way.” That’s how growth often works. It spirals, and returns us again and again to the same themes of growth. So if it feels like you're reversing, please know you're not failing, you're ready to heal it more deeply.

Try this

When you feel overwhelmed or reactive, pause and ask:

    •    What part of me is activated right now?

    •    What would choosing myself, with compassion, look like in this moment?

    •    What would be the most loving, honest step I could take?

Then, take one small action that honors that answer. This becomes what transformation looks like in real life... not dramatic, not perfect, just honest, and a little braver than before.

Relationships

Relationships are the mirrors and the magnifiers this month. Some will stabilize and support you. Others may shake, rupture, or dissolve entirely. Neither is good or bad, just honest.

For teens and young adults

  • You may find yourself less willing to tolerate surface-level dynamics or friendships that feel performative
  • You might feel a deeper craving for authenticity, boundaries, and space to grow
  • This could be the month where you realize someone you’ve been holding onto is no longer a reflection of where you’re going

If that happens, know that it’s okay to grieve the version of you that once needed that connection. You don’t have to hate something to walk away from it.

For parents, mentors, and coaches

  • This month may stretch your capacity to hold space without control
  • You may need to step back and let your client or student feel the full discomfort of their own awakening
  • That doesn’t mean you’re (or they're) failing... trust their timing and their process

One parent I coached recently said, “I’m learning that my job is not to fix her feelings but to trust her to feel them. That’s hard, but it feels right.”

And that’s the work this month, trust is the bridge. Let everyone have their own timing. Stay rooted in compassion without over-functioning. Focus on how you show up in the relationship, not how you’re being perceived.

Body and Emotional Health

This month may bring physical symptoms that mirror your emotional and energetic shifts.

You might feel:

    •    Tension in your jaw, back, or joints

    •    Sleep disruptions or vivid dreams

    •    Emotional surges that seem “out of nowhere”

    •    A need to either slow way down or shake something loose

Your body is not working against you. It’s trying to keep up with the internal change. Be patient with it.

Now is a great time to recommit to supportive routines, but not from guilt or shame. Instead come from the belief that you're worth the care, and recommit from reverence and love.

Try this

    •    Get in the habit of asking, What does my body need today? before you commit to anything

    •    If you don’t know the answer, try stillness first. It usually reveals itself

And remember, self-care isn’t something you earn. It’s something you’re allowed to have. Even when (especially when) things are, or feel, messy.

Work, School, and Projects

This month may shake things up in work, school, and creative projects.

You might notice:

    •    A desire to burn it all down

    •    A new idea that disrupts your old plan

    •    A craving for more soul, more slowness, or more space

If you’re running a business or guiding others, try not to cling to systems that no longer feel alive. If you’re in school or a structured program, see where you can soften your expectations of yourself. The most successful moves this month are the ones rooted in alignment, not urgency.

This is a perfect time to:

    •    Rework your calendar

    •    Delay what’s not urgent

    •    Streamline your systems

    •    Let new priorities emerge based on where you are now...not where you were six months ago

Coaching tip

Your purpose doesn’t require you to be exhausted. Let your productivity serve your well-being, not the other way around.

Environment

The outer world mirrors our inner world, and this month, both are in motion.

This is a great time to:

    •    Clean your closet or workspace

    •    Update your digital boundaries (social media, texts, emails)

    •    Let go of anything that feels like an old version of you

While decluttering will feel productive, only do this to make space for new energy, and allow your environment to lovingly become a reflection of who you’re becoming.

Also spend time in nature this month, especially around the eclipses, because being outside can help your nervous system process what your brain hasn’t caught up to yet.

Okay Let's Dive into Specific Dates & Time Frames – September 2025

September 1–7: The First Cracks

We open the month inside a completion cycle, if you're like me and sensitive to these transitional energies, you've likely been feeling the final stretch of karmic threads that may have been playing out in your life for the past two or three months or even years.

You may notice familiar challenges circling back around. It might feel like

“I’ve done this already”

“I thought I’d healed this”

“Why is this coming up again?”

But this time, it’s not here to trap you. It’s here to free you.

Join me in taking a spiritual inventory this week. Ask yourself:

    •    What am I still trying to control?

    •    What identity or pattern am I fiercely attached to, even though it’s costing me peace?

    •    What would change in my life if I truly let go of needing to manage everything?

We can let these reflections be gentle, and your answers can come slowly. Remember, just because something is resurfacing doesn’t mean you’re going backward. It may be your soul’s way of saying “Now you’re strong enough to release this in a wiser way.”

September 7: Full Moon in Pisces + Total Lunar Eclipse at 12:08 PM MDT

This is the first of two eclipses this month and the most potent one energetically. As a Full Moon in Pisces, it brings with it a wave of emotion, intuition, and potential surrender. The eclipse adds intensity and disruption, not harmful but it will help clear the emotional clutter that’s been blocking your flow.

You may feel

    •    Emotionally raw or overwhelmed

    •    Spiritually cracked open

    •    Disillusioned with something you once trusted

This full moon doesn’t asks for release. For some, that release might be a full-on breakdown before the breakthrough. For others, it might look like a quiet realization that something just isn’t resonating anymore. However it shows up in your life, let it move through you. If it feels supportive, you can journal, cry,  take a salt bath, and allow yourself to feel the depth of your feelings without needing to fix or explain them.

Most feelings can fully rise and fall within 90 seconds, if we allow ourselves to ride that wave and release it gently. Sometimes it can help to name the feeling out loud and then quite literally shake your body, your arms and legs, and do a little energetic shake out. Remember we are shaking things up this month!

Coaching prompt

What do I know in my body that my mind keeps trying to ignore?

What if I allow the wisdom of my body to speak louder than the fear of my past?

September 8–14: Integration & Illumination

This is the week where the dust begins to settle from the eclipse (phew!) and in that stillness, clarity begins to rise. You might find yourself saying things like:

“I never realized how much that affected me”

“Now I see what I was missing”

“I actually know what I want now”

This is a beautiful time to take stock of what’s shifted since the start of the month. It’s also a time to play with new ways of thinking, new structures, and new emotional agreements.

    •    Try a new way of approaching a friendship or communication pattern

    •    Revisit your relationship to routines or commitments

    •    Say something you haven’t said because you didn’t know how

This is your week to reclaim your voice and celebrate how far you’ve come, even if that progress is mostly internal. Let your personal healing begin to ripple outward into your daily life rhythms.

September 15–22: Rebuilding With Intention

Now we begin to rebuild, not with hustle, but with soul. This window is especially supportive for reconfiguring your self-care, creative rhythms, and boundaries.

You may feel the urge to:

    •    Start a new routine

    •    Clean up your calendar

    •    Detangle from obligations that no longer feel aligned

This week is also about making peace with what you’ve released. Grief might still be present. That’s okay. You can hold the ache of letting go alongside the excitement of stepping forward.

Coaching reminder

Self-care isn’t only about bubble baths. It’s also about:

    •    Saying no to what drains you

    •    Choosing honesty over people-pleasing

    •    Nourishing your nervous system when the world feels too loud

This is a good week to recommit to your practices, not because you “should,” but because you’re ready to treat yourself like someone worth protecting. You matter. You do.

September 21: New Moon in Virgo + Partial Solar Eclipse, September 21 at 1:54 PM MDT

This is the second eclipse of the month, and it comes hand-in-hand with a New Moon in Virgo which is the sign of order, grounded intention, and sacred service. If the Full Moon earlier this month cracked you open, this New Moon invites you to start filling your space with new intention.

New priorities.

New timelines.

New boundaries.

New choices.

This is a powerful time for setting seeds of what you most want to do, and of who you want to be.

Try this

Write a letter to the version of you who made it through September.

  • What did they learn?
  • What did they release?
  • What are they no longer afraid to want?

Let this moon mark the beginning of your next chapter.

September 24–30: The Aftermath and the Becoming

After two eclipses and an equinox, you may feel… different. Maybe tender, clearer, a little emptied out, and maybe even little more you. There's no need to race forward into the next month. Trust in your perfect timing and allow this sacred window to be a time to reflect, integrate, and gently begin again.

Notice what you’ve survived and what you’ve chosen differently this time. Let your questions be:"

    •    What is staying?

    •    What is still unfolding?

    •    What new commitments or values want to root in deeper?

If you’re still unsure what’s next, that’s okay. The clarity is already coming. You don’t need to rush. You just need to stay open to noticing.

September Summary

This month is here to shake things up, to disrupt what’s no longer real and invite you to meet yourself more honestly than ever before. Let yourself change. Let the hard moments teach you. Let the good ones surprise you.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be present with what’s true.

We’re honored to walk this with you, through every release, every rebuild, every breath of becoming. If you or someone you love needs a place to sort it all out, Co-Love is here with coaching support and self-care socials to connect.
